Mickley Village Primary & Nursery School

Mickley joined the Christopher Nieper Education Trust in May 2025. 

Situated in the village of Mickley, Stretton, near Alfreton in Derbyshire, Mickley Village Primary and Nursery School is a small, friendly, and welcoming school at the heart of its local community.

In September 2022, the school proudly gained Primary School status and now provides education for children from Nursery through to Year 6. The school offers a nurturing environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school comprises four classrooms across two buildings, together with a school hall, group room, and library. Every class benefits from the support of at least one dedicated Teaching Assistant, helping to ensure that all pupils receive high-quality care and guidance throughout their learning journey.

The school is committed to providing excellent support for every child from the moment they join the school through to their transition into secondary education. By working closely with families and the wider community, the school strives to develop confident, resilient learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
