Welcome to Our Trust
Christopher Nieper Education Trust is a small, growing, community-focused Multi Academy Trust based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Originally created in 2016 to relaunch David Nieper Academy (formerly Alfreton Grange), Christopher Nieper Education Trust will soon have three academies, all rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and serving local children from 3 to 19 years old. We are now actively welcoming other like-minded schools who would like to talk to us about how their school might be part of our Trust too.
We pride ourselves on our strong local connections, supported by our sponsor David Nieper Ltd, whose family-run local business has been a major employer in Alfreton, Derbyshire, for over 60 years.
As a local person myself, born near Alfreton, I am proud to lead a trust that values our local communities so highly. This is exemplified by not only the high academic standard we set, but by our unrelenting focus on all the wider attributes that young people need to grow into thriving adults and responsible citizens.
These attributes, which include character, confidence, teamwork and problem-solving, we bring under the umbrella of our valued employability programme, which shapes all aspects of our curriculum and school life, for children of all ages.
We hope this website explains what we offer and the benefits of working with us on the next stage of our journey. We are always happy to answer questions and have informal conversations with schools who are considering their options, so please do feel free to contact me personally.
