Helena Carrazedo

Helena joined the Trust Board in December 2025. She has worked in education for close to thirty years as a class teacher, Special Needs Coordinator, Deputy Headteacher and for the last 14 years, as a Primary Headteacher (3-11) in the Alfreton area.

Helena has worked as a mentor for headteachers developing their role as inspiring leaders. Since leaving Christ the King Primary Academy, she has worked for Christopher Nieper Education Trust initially involved in a project with local schools in supporting the smooth transition between the primary and secondary phases and, also utilising her training and expertise in supervision. She is passionate about education and ensuring that the children and their wellbeing are at the heart of everything she does as well as promoting staff well-being.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, walking, travelling and gardening.
